Virgillia Snip, born 21 December 1987 in Amsterdam, grew up in the house with her father and mother, she was their only child. Both parents sang in their youth.
In 2000, her mother did a remake of the song "Ain't no sunshine" with her cousin Ivanildo (IVE), known for the songs "Je doet" and "Fresh". Her father received his theater diploma and has occurred in a small number of productions.
Virgillia sat in her younger years at an elementary school "in the city center of Amsterdam. She started with recorder lessons, which she has done about 4 years. She also danced for about 8 years.
In high school Virgillia discovered that she could sing.
Because of her uncertainty she didn't do anything with her voice.
In the last year of high school at the prom, she and two classmates performed the song "Dangerously in Love" by Beyonce. It was the first time that she sang in public.
In 2005, Virgillia received her high school diploma.
After highschool Virgillia didn't sing for a few years, until a friend asked her to sing in a choir that she had founded. This she has done a few times.
In 2009, Virgillia first auditioned for the TV show X-Factor. Unfortunately she didn't survived that first audition.
A friend suggested to audition together. Virgillia called a girlfriend who could also sing and the next week they formed the girl group 'Thick' , what was later called 'Fierce' .
The group auditioned and they made it to the first live show of X-Factor. Currently Virgillia is no longer a member of the group 'Fierce'.
Virgillia is now a solo artist, under the name ''Jills''
