The first is French, the second Italian, Jerry Bouthier and Andrea Gorgerino form London-based duo JBAG.Part of the Kitsuné family, sound designer of Vivienne Westwood and other fashion brands,A&R of Continental records (with its global cast of rising talents: Reflex, Shindu, Cyclist, Mannequine, Mjolnir, Boys Get Hurt...), the dj Jerry Bouthier is also part of writing/production unit JBAG with music partner Andrea Gorgerino.A classically trained virtuoso and skilled sound-engineer, Gorgerino started piano at 5, studied harmony at 12, completed his SAE diploma at 24 and as such gained unparalleled musicality.The two were resident djs at London’s infamous BoomBox club (now morphed into style mag Ponystep) and can be found spinning at the fashion world’s best parties (Sonia Rykiel, Jean Paul Gaultier, Vivienne Westwood, Colette, Givenchy, Gareth Pugh, Acne, Club Sandwich, Top Shop, Le Baron...).Bonding over a mutual passion for sad yet happy melodies mixed to solid grooves, the pair draws from its multiple influences (indie, italo, disco, house, electro, funk)... all tied up by a genuine fondness for melody and the will to bring inspired energy to the dancefloor.Bouthier has released several mixed cds on Kitsuné among which the Soleil summer-themed series (with label boss Gildas) and the brand new Trip Mode concept. JBAG have remixed Two Door Cinema Club, The Sugababes’ Siobhan Donaghy, Ladyhawke, S-Express, RÜFÜS, Jupiter, Punks Jump Up, Gigamesh etc and just released the follow up to their ‘Mogadisco’ single (one of last summer’s tropical anthem), ‘Through Blue’, a collaboration with the singer of Poland’s electropop band Kamp!.
