1996 marked the beginning of a prolific career, starting in France, in nightclubs of casinos : 2nd DJ for 2 years in one, then substitute in 3 others to finish with a 3 years official DJ residency and a 2 years management as a club director (and two venues opening)
A thousand parties later, it’s thanks to internet that he develops his reputation with the releases of House mixtapes totaling over 250 000 downloads between 2004 and 2006 (Starcast, Salsa Picante, Hot Soundz…)
Despite the success, the opportunities to play House music remain rare, and he decides to create his own booking agency ( Spears ) to set out to conquer foreign clubs.
2009, the first warm welcome comes from Morocco, where he’ll be led to play several times: Loftclub (Tangier), 5th Avenue (Rabat) or Sun Festival in the heart of Marrakech, to name a few.
Back to France for a quick tour, some clubs openings and few residencies from west to east (Bilboquet in Cognac, Extrem in Nantes, Pulp in Chambery, Theatro in Flers…), he finally decides to go back to the swiss border and is recruited for the opening of Amnesia Lausanne (Main room resident DJ) and then for some clubs in Geneva: White’n Silver (playing for Hed Kandi), Point Bar (playing alongside EDM DJs such Hard Rock Sofa), Bypass (awarded best club in Europe, playing for the official opening of Lake Parade), and some trendy and chic venues like Griffin’s or Francis among others…
Tired of the all-style club atmosphere, after playing open format and cross genres for 15 years in clubs, his new musical vision is reinforced after a professional meeting with Luciano from Cadenza, and he left clubs to play in a more confidential way, in restaurants and lounge in Geneva, to become today the resident DJ of one of Geneva’s trendiest venue: « Le Quirinale »
In parallel, Ice-Beg develops its new booking agency created in early 2013 : M8TE
We thus find him in Dubaï (Chameleon Club), but also in Paris (1st DJ to play on a car that transforms into a DJ Booth), and also in local events in Geneva, becoming the official DJ of CAGI (event service attached to the UN for embassies) spinning for afterworks and parties such as the Baltic Sea, (200 ambassadors and diplomats from 7 countries around the Baltic sea), inaugurating the multimedia space during a showcase for Fnac, or participating in public events like in Megeve for after skiing …
After years of fumbling musically, producing bootlegs and unofficial remixes, he finally signed his first official remix on Dope Den (Mark Farina’s label, Los Angeles), and currently work on some other future releases.
Now that he has found his musical style, between Lounge, Deep House & Indie Dance, he’s focusing on production and on his future projects wit M8TE and his team of international artists.
Thanks to his tremendous ground experience, Ice-Beg shows that he’s still the man we can count on, even after eighteen years, showing his unwavering ambition and its desire to excel, spreading his passion for House music.
