Well-regarded New York DJ Groovecreator set out to establish his sounds way back during his regular appearances at Limelight between 1994 & 1996, generating bookings at venues such as Tokyo, Japan (Club Code); Dominican Republic, Mexico, Colorado as well as countless domestic appearances, such as The One@ The Roxy w/ Derrick May & Saunderson. Groovecreator’s street credibility was cemented during his collaborative monthly residency “Return To Burn @ Centro-Fly” with fellow Progressive House impresario Steve Porter. He's featured on Carl Cox's Global CD with his peak time 'Tribal Drumz". Since his first dubplate “I’ve Got Enough” got played on Carl's 1998 Essential Mix Live @ Space, Ibiza. Chicago’s Roy Davis Jr signed it to his SubLabel and he is also currently on PH Recordings. His thinking “outside of the box” and conjuring new sounds & beats considered outside of pre-existing House and Funky Techno trends resulted in major residencies under his belt, such as Limelight, Save The Robots, Asylum/Kaos, Centro-Fly, Le Souk and Avalon. His best-known collaboration (called “Steve Porter meets Groovecreator”) was "1990", a series of Detroit-esque, Chicago-influenced mixes, which landed Groovecreator a deal with Shine Music, along with the Filterheadz. “1990” was found on Max Graham's MixMag Live Cd (UK), Carl Cox's Top 10 (May 2006), Damien Carter's House Music.De Pt.2 (Milk & Sugar Germany), Paul Van Dyk's Radio Show VONYC.com and most recently on Emma House 2014 20th Anniversary (Avex Trax Japan). In addition, Groovecreator’s remixes got heavy rotation of veteran House music impresarios Carl Cox, Danny Howells, and Christian Smith. The Remixes for Steve Porter's "Control EP" and Heartache's "Hott Love" on PH Recordings do not disappoint either. His latest track called 'Mambo De Chocolate' featuring highly talented live drummer Curtis Watts also had massive support from Carl yet again played on 3 different Global Radio shows also live in germany (Time Warp) and billboards in Australia.
Groovecreator having over 20 years in the scene, is an international Sounding caliber DJ. His style lies between the gray areas of House & Funky Techno as upfront today as back then
