Born in Quito, Ecuador, Gabriel Montufar entered the world of music at a young age. His passion towards electronic music mainly began from his love for music and computers, which eventually brought him to study in Berklee College of Music where he graduated as a Recording/Mixing Engineer and a Sound Designer in 2004. Soon after he was back in Ecuador working at IMC (Instituto de Musica Contemporanea; a Berklee International Network school) in the music production and engineering area, and also delved into the professional music production world. In 2006 he released his first record in Ecuador, "Voices Within," one of the few releases of EDM at the time, which made an impact toward the growing electronic crowd. This led him to participate actively in the local scene and grow as an EDM musician, as well to continue to release music through digital labels. Gabriel Montufar has constantly worked towards a better electronic music and music production scene in Ecuador, as he continues to educate passionate young musicians at IMC and works actively in the music production scene as a producer and engineer. Furthermore, he is actively pursuing more knowledge through a masters program in music technology in the United States. Music-wise, Gabriel Montufar has always believed in high quality sounding electronic music, disregarding style, that has character through well chosen and molded electronic sounds that put together make a beautiful piece of music to be appreciated by others.
