The stars must have aligned right when Gabe Gandres, saw his first ray of light. Since moving to the US at age 12, Gabe has cultivated a large interest in electronic music especially in sub-genres such as; Dutch House, Progressive House,Tech-House and Deep-House. By age 19, under the alias DJ Bent, he took his love for music and began a new chapter in his life. That same year, he began spinning at Hartford's very well known Up or On the Rocks filling the club every time. By the following year, he had already spun at all the big name venues in Hartford and surrounding towns such as Room 960, Up or On The Rocks, Palace, Shish Lounge and even New Havens infamous Gotham Citi. Bent also collaborated with Pacha's well known Luciano Pardini for Pacha's 'Made in Brazil" party that took place at Hartford's powerhouse Room 960. It didn't take long for the ears of out of state clubbers to hear of DJ Bent. When life couldn't get any better for Hartford's prized DJ, he landed a spot as the opening DJ for DJ Khaled in Massachusetts tearing down the Mullins Center in front of thousands of people. While focusing heavily on his performance, Bent began creating his own music. When not DJing, Bent is rarely seen outside of his home studio. His mash-up hits "Dirty Little Hamster" and "Connecticut Girls" hit Connecticut radio stations almost instantly. Also in 2011 the Hartford Advocate, CT's main entertainment magazine, selected DJ Bent as "Best DJ" in their Grand Band Slam, a poll that included DJ's from the whole state of Connecticut. In 2012 After changing his stage name to "Gabe Gandres" he continues to create more and more remixes and mash- ups. Having performed in Connecticut, Massachusetts , Rhode Island, New Jersey and Florida, Gabe Gandres continues to expand his fan base and has many more productions waiting to be released.
