A regular guest at the first warehouse parties in the late 80’s, DEE TREE-9 became enraptured by the liberating effect DJs exerted on a party crowd. This was his motivation to become a DJ in 1993, organizing acid and techno parties in his hometown Bern.Gigs at major events all over Switzerland (such as Energy, Goliath and Cubik) as well as Europe (such as Nature One) followed and DEE TREE-9 soon opened his own record store Tronix Records.Due to his musical background and fascination with technology, soon the time had come to start composing his own music. Whilst working on his DJ-career (playing alongside artists such as Carl Cox, Derrick May, Robert Hood, Jeff Mills and Richie Hawtin) his first tracks were published on his own record label Tronix Records, followed by releases on Axodya and Sirion.DEE TREE-9 draws inspiration from his travels all around the world, thus it’s no surprise he incorporates different acoustic instruments as well as languages into his productions. As for his eclectic DJ-sets, he never fails to surprise his audience. While working for his label Tronix Records, DEE TREE-9 got involved with the visual aspect of arts. In 2007 DEE TREE-9 reinvents himself as an artist in color: the orange outfit and white make-up form the corner stones of his new concept. Today the project is a mix of his activities as a DJ, artist and producer: the music is accompanied by his corporate design, visualized through colors and graphics. Performing on stage, DEE TREE-9 interacts with the crowd through big signs, making his appearances outstanding.Listen and see...
