This musical journey of Darius Kohanim has been influenced by so many different musical projects from 20 years of performing live! Being the son of a world- renowned photographer Parish Kohanim, Darius always had art and music as a large part of his life. He now hosts Collision on Proton Radio every 2nd Tuesday of the month from 8-9pm est.This Atlanta based artist has been a producer for over ten years, a drummer of 20 years, and a DJ since 2001. Old productions ranged through many genres, but in the last few years Techno & Minimal have been his main focus. Darius prefers making unpredictable tracks that either tell a story or create a mood, with all entailing dark, industrial, sinister, and rhythmic elements to the music that keep building tension and momentum.In 2010 he co-founded the reputable Atlanta based event company Wiggle Factor. Over the years he performed with acts like Ben Klock (Klockworks), DVS1 (Hush), Pig&Dan (Elevate), Maetrik (aka Maceo Plex), Tim Xavier (LTD 400), Sian(Octopus Recordings), Drumcell (Droid Behavior), Alexi Delano (H-Production, Minus, AD Limited), Tony Rohr (Drumcode), Truncate (Droid), Elon (Resolute), Mr C (Superfreq), Sub-An (Crosstown Rebels), Clint Stewart (Second State, Mobilee), Deepak Sharma (Hidden Recordings), Taimur Agha (Blkmarket Membership), Daegon, & the talented visual artist Oktaform, from CLR & Droid Behavior.Darius collaborative projects like, Delic, Absence of Essence/aka AOE (Lobotomy Records, Text Book Music, Alterimage Recordings), and Panopticon (Audio Therapy, Alterimage Recordings), as well as many tracks completed over the years with the local producing guru Habersham. He also hosts a monthly show on Proton Radio since 2009.For 2014, Darius branched off from Wiggle Factor and Delic. His main focus is creating original productions in the studio, as well as his new show on Proton : “Collision!” Look for future Collision events in the Atlanta area, as well as future releases from Darius.
