Raised and shaped by the sounds of new wave, early trance, Midwest techno and Iranian disco; the now Brooklyn-based DJ & Producer, when not acting as one of the local scene’s postmodern cultural critics, is a selector who plays bravely with italowave, EBM, electro and techno to combine and create endlessly driving, one-of-a-kind sets. With his unique mix of favored genres, Arvin’s performances are like the classic hero’s journey wreathed in 1980’s neon: indulgent synths dance with platinum kicks and darker bass lines to forge a path of emotionally moving musical peaks and valleys.
