808weeds (aka Samir Karaev) is a Synthwave producer from Yekaterinburg, Russia. 808weeds started his musical journey as a drummer in a metalcore band in 2008. He also became interested in creating electronic music (High-Tech Minimal). Since 2010 he completely switched to electronic music, trying many genres. Thus, he studied the details of different genres, drawing something interesting from them. (Drum and Bass, Brostep, Psychedelic Trance, Minimal Techno and other). In 2012, he became interested in beatmaking and live beatmaking, and created beats in the genre of Cloud, Trap, Phonk, Trill and more. 808weeds was a member of “Russian 808 Mafia” community which had many beatmakers in the genres of new school.
