4BeatClüb was formed by James Gray after many years of being immersed in all good music but especially the House and Garage sounds emanating from pirate radio stations and clubs in London in the 1990s.After meeting DJ and Producer Double G, of the Dreem Team’s label DJs For Life, one evening in a South London pub a mix tape was passed on that led to dj sets playing alongside Double G, Timmy Magic, EZ and more recently Giom, Lil’ Mark and Luke Solomon at venues in London, Bristol, Budapest and Chicago.First and foremost a producer, James learnt his trade in various roles at recording studios and then invested in his own studio to work on his tracks and focusing on original composition. The resulting releases on labels such as Trendy Mullet, Blockhead, Perception and Nightbird hit the top sales charts of House music stores including Juno, Stompy, Traxsource and 4BeatClüb has also picked up solid reviews from iDJ’s Russell Deeks in his thisiswhywedance blog and support from some the foremost djs in the scene including Robert Owens, Giom, Lady Blacktronika, Sebastian Davidson and Julio Bashmore on his UK national BBC Radio 1 show. One of London’s fast emerging talents, 4BeatClüb is now breaking through as a respected regular on the underground scene with numerous releases in the pipeline on some of House music’s finest labels, old school and new, with his release on Charmed Life Music no exception...
