Professionally known as 40D, born in Mozambique’s capital city, Maputo, is an electronic dance music producer & DJ who from an early age, has found solace and inspiration in the rhythmic melodies of his surroundings, setting the stage for a journey through the world of music. 40D's ascent to prominence began with the release of his debut project The Heartbeat of Africa by the alias Afrokaya under Soul Candi and further Tribe Records to years later, a meteoric rise securing the coveted #1 position on South Africa's renowned radio station, MetroFM, (in 2020) with his track "Unga Ti Beki".
