Dan Ghenacia unleashes his first solo EP in two years with the effervescent Who Stole The Freaks, on his own imprint, Freak nChic. Who Stole The Freaks puts together three tracks from one of Paris most prolific artists, Dan Ghenacia, a fundamental cause in the development of the French underground house and techno scene through his pioneering label (Freak nChic) and staging numerous legendary events in France and beyond. Kicking things off the title track, Who Stole The Freaks, is a light-fingered affair with bouncing beats and vibrant samples. Dan works up a playful atmosphere through beds of rhythm and solid rolling bass. You cant escape from the seductive bassline and hedonistic feel of Discolour a grand track that takes on its own life, this is pure house music made to make you dance. Round 4 closes the package with more power and drive in a hefty dancefloor production that build the energy levels to the max. This is the first EP Dan engineered by himself and only his second solo release on the label, Who Stole the Freaks shows him to be an accomplished master of his skill. His Freak nChic label has been running for seven years and through his long-standing residency at Circo Loco in DC10 and years of subsequenttouring, the Ghenacia gospel has spead far and wide. Discovering artists such as Dyed Soundorom, Djebali, Anthony Collins and even releasing the debut Jamie Jones EP, Dan knows good music and continues to deliver it.
