Here's the first single from a brand new project on Versatile : The big crunch theory. A collaboration between Gilbert Cohen (aka Gilb'r from Chateau Flight) and the singer Lisa Li-Lund. They met during the recording of a 12" for the label (Quixote "Before I Started To Dance") where Lisa put her voice... This experience was concluant enough to bring Lisa and Gilbert in the versatile studio to do some more songs: the result is the album "1992". We needed to bring it on the dancefloor. Roman Flügel (a part of Alter Ego) won the challenge brillantly with a House version of the song "What To Say", with a little Acid reminiscence... The DJ Koze approach is more intimist. And he was glad to not be requested for another techno track to remix ! This remix was done during his holidays, he worked on "Distortion", a song full of love and emotion.. A syncopated beat and a pummeled sample (,yeah, back to the sample !!), far away from the cold and formulatic Minimal productions you can ear so often nowdays...
