Luca Cazzoni was born in 1989 on the west coast of France. At age 20, the now Paris-based producer has already developed a sophisticated taste and refined production technique in his deep and tech house offerings. His career is off to a great start, having already worked with the Kindred Label Group on his own EP and a remix for Presslaboys. Luca's volume of output is immense, constantly improving along the way. At this rate, he is bound to become a name amongst a well-respected line of French producers.
The title track on the “Tourniquet Time EP” is the epitome of elegantly constructed deep house. A clever bassline bounces between pared down beats and subtle tones and vocal stabs, creating an immaculate groove. Master remixer and deep house's man of the hour, Pezzner, cuts up "Tourniquet Time" against his signature textures and warm tones, turning out a massive builder that is sure to bring a smile to any audience.
On the "flip", Luca leads us down an aquatic passage with "Deep Side". The standard percussive elements are kept to a minimum, giving way to heavy bass, thick pads, swelling synths, and a swinging conga line, all leading up to a lovely guitar riff. Let's Go Outside's dub version takes the track one level deeper, stripping it down to its core elements to form a tunnel of bass, tone, and air punctuated by little bits of chord and bending textures.
