Robert Hood starts a new, but old, 'Perpetual Masters' series with remastered releases from the labels back catalogue. The Master Builder's previously released material has been in constant demand from M-Plant fans for years. The music sounds as fresh and innovative today as they did when first released. Richie Hawtin even called his label after one of Hood's unique productions "Minus" To anyone not aware of these releases they are all new. The originator of Minimal states it is not about using as little sounds as possible as has been misinterpreted by so many, but its all about striping the music back to the essentials, only leaving the true soul, the funk. First in the series is the monstrous "The Pace" (originally M-P306), which couldn't have a more apt title. Soon after is the release of the "Stereotype EP" (originally M-P.312) As Boomkat described Hood's music "masterclass in reduction, pace and innovation" , couldn't have said it better.
