Beach X is a trance trio from Finland formed by Pekko Haimi, Janne Turunen, and Kimmo Holopainen, who have been DJing and producing for years before their paths crossed for this cool collaboration in 2008. Their musical tastes vary from house and progressive to trance - Beach X's sound is full of influences from the good old days yet with a modern twist. Their newest release "The Magic Man" is coming out on Echelon White, with a remix by Innerstate aka Lewis Dodkins. It has an energetic drive and the kind of pearly melodic sound characteristic to progressive trance from Finland. At the same time uplifting and exhilarating yet slightly melancholic, the themes sparkle in bright tones and spaceous layers with the accompanying pads and supportive melodies. Innerstate makes a welcomed reappearance on the label with his remix which has a more progressive vibe and rhythm to it, partly due to his usual way of using the bass.
