This EP presents Nerone’s The Buzz in three different lights – just the way you would hope when given a selection of remixes. Nerone’s original mix twists and turns in elegant fashion as it weaves together the individual stems into a driving force. Pan/tone’s remix puts the dark bass tones in sharp focus as he builds his vision in classic pan/tone style. The intense power of his mix truly “rocks” the dance floor. Slynus’s mix harnesses the vibe of classic Red Planet records from Detroit in the mid-90s – it’s tribal for the new millennium and with all the energy you expect from tech-house tracks in 2009. Barcelona’s Nerone is well known for being part of the Screw U parties at the Moog Club where he’s been setting the tech-house vibe since 2006. Fans of Secret Weapon will also remember his devastating remix for Curtis & Estrada’s “Doesn’t Matter” (SW029). This time out Nerone delivers an original work “The Buzz” and his hypnotic interweaving of several sonic lines produces a tech-house masterwork that’s going to work club floors this fall. This EP also delivers remixes from Germany-based (but Canadian by origin) pan/tone and Vancouver’s Slynus.
