Releasing a vocal track for the dance floor is never an easy task, a setting often laced with gimmicks and frivolities. But this was a chance we were willing to take in our latest Reworck release.
Discovered amidst a sea of promos, The Blame by Peet and Millie Gaum quickly caught the ear of A&R, Pole Folder. The track speaks for itself, a powerful mesh of tasty grooves by veteran Hungarian DJ Peter Csaszar that play effortlessly alongside the haunting vocal of London-based Millie Gaum, a signature sound for our label.
The original encompasses the melodic simplicities of Deep Tech House, Pole Folder later teaming up with his longtime partner on Bedrock Records, Cedric Piret (aka CP), to dish out an Indie House twist. Using wurlitzers heavy chords, and saturated bass, they constructed a remix around Millie's voice, absorbing elements from the original mix and reconstructing them within a 4/4, rock inspired substructure.
We hope you will enjoy this new release as much as we had producing it, the 14th addition to the Reworck catalogue.
