Belfast DJ/production duo Brisboys John Manning and Ciaran Duffy have announced a new single Take Me Down which is backed with a remix by Darren Doherty.
Reminiscent of the sounds from the original Chicago/Detroit deep house scene, this new track brings in the signature chromatic chord progressions over slow concentrated melodies and ambient reverbed vocal samples. This is all layered smoothly over a beguiling bouncy kick and 808esque drum pad hits. Darren Dohertys remix takes the vibe to a much darker level with more minimal beats, ambient samples and a foreboding bass synth.
Brisboys have been stalwarts of the DJ scene across Northern Ireland and the world for over ten years now. Since meeting in Brisbane (hence the name), the pair have received acclaim for their productions which have featured on numerous compilations. They have also had tracks signed to Presslab Records, Soultech and others worldwide. This track follows on from their current remix of Project KF & Jey Fever - Distressor and has already had huge support from Marco Carola, Luciano and Richie Hawtin and is due for release on Suro soon.
Supported by: Richie Hawtin, Luciano, Marco Carola, Sossa, Nima Gorji, Markus Schulz among many others.
