It's no secret that the mighty Mullet Records aren't afraid of signing a good old hairbrush-hit and Flamingo Drive feat. Kristine have certainly delivered one with their synth-tastic Strange World. Fans of early 80s hi-energy are in for a real treat and you'd be forgiven for thinking that this little gem featured on The Breakfast Club soundtrack back in the day. Strange World is quite simply a modern day take on that much loved Sembello/ Moroder sound, complete with authentic multi-timbral hits, dreamy pads and an arpeggio style bassline to die for. Rockin' the remixes we have Dream Wave supremo FM Attack, who's laid-back take with simplistic drums and layer upon layer of dreamology works an absolute treat. Next-up and fresh from a European tour we have those lovable Minneapolis boys Estate, who's forward thinking mix heads straight to the dancefloor with an analog bassline rockin', half-time breakdown stepping, leg warming wonder. So all that's left is to record this puppy to a fresh D-90, hit Dolby C, release the pause button and take a ride straight down Flamingo Drive. We hope you ENJOY! :o) Mullet HQ. ...
