It wasnt without controversy on both artist and title fronts, but in the end both prevailed. Da Mongoloids was, briefly, a sort of conceptual alliance between Armand Van Helden, Junior Sanchez, Roger Sanchez and DJ Sneak. Even Daft Punks name was mentioned at one point. But in the end Spark Da Meth was all Armand and like much of his 90s work, it consists mostly of a big-assed funk bassline and a bunch of crazy effects plus a looped rap repeatedly telling you not to stop. And get with the flow. Exactly ATFCs language in fact, who updates Armands pure energy with the care of a historic building renovator; its different but you need to hear the original side by side to appreciate the workmanship.
