Next up on Mija Recordings label owner Louis Osbourne steps up with Bullet Dodges Gareth Whitehead to deliver Soul Control. Germanys Dirt Crew and Spains Pig & Dan step in on remix duties to give this release some clout. Louis Osbourne has been running Mija Recordings for three years yet this is his first release on the label under his own name. Louis has done a couple of remixes on the label under his Osbourne & Anderson guise with Jamie Anderson, who have their next Osbourne & Anderson release signed to Made To Play. This follows a release on Front Room and a remix of Tube & Berger on Neurotraxx Deluxe, so Louis is getting used to dropping trax on some dope labels! Gareth has been running his label Bullet Dodge for four years and has produced with the likes of Werner Neidermeir, Jo Mills, Dave Beer, Robert Owens and Random Factor, so he is a man who is in demand in 2011! The original mix of Soul Control is a deep house track driven by some soulful vocal licks, old school organ stabs and some cool cowbell drops. Its got a nod to an old school house sound but with fresh production values. The lads have been dropping this for sometime in their sets and it just works.. so try it out! First up on remix duties we have Dirt Crew who give us a driving deep house interpretation that has enough oomph for bigger floors, yet keeps their signature trademark deep house sound. Then Pig & Dan step up and deliver a remix that will keep the BIG ROOMS happy, which is what they do best. They keep the soulful vocal snippets, yet build a big track around a thundering rhythm section. This should be heard on a big system!
