Following in the footsteps of fellow Canadian's Carlo Lio and The Junkies, Justin James becomes the newest member of SCI+TEC's global family. Growing up just across the water from the rich musical heritage of Detroit and hailing from the same city as techno hero Richie Hawtin, has all served to influence and motivate the ambitious young producer from Windsor, Ontario. Having shared the booth and warmed the floors for the worlds finest at his Boom Boom Room residency in Windsor, Justin, through the reach of his own music, is now spreading his sound far and wide. Having kicked of 2012 with a release on Hawtin's Minus12 off shoot, Justin now launches his 2013 campaign with his debut for SCI+TEC. His three track "Shallow Dreamer" ep opens with the Eastern horns and hypnotic drip of the title track, backed by "City Club", a track that has recently featured on Dubfire's "A Transmission" mix compilation. Finally "Split Tongue" closes the ep with its popping groove and vocal gymnastics.
