They have proven many times with their live performance that the musical ingredients are just right and have also put the evidence on the record with an original EP. Now comes the follow up. The first track "Way Too Far", is a Live recording which evokes an atmosphere of urban beats and pulsating flashes just behind the eyes and a dancing crowd who appear to sink deep into the dance floor. Then theres a complete chance of scene for the second track The Other Night, that appears to hijack the veranda of a villa in the American South. Crisp rhythms are backed by muffled thumping beats, a trumpet laments, a sexy sleep-talking emerges in gentle piano sounds. Tom Clark, Todd Bodine, Philip Bader, Dale und Daniel Dreier legen ihre ganz unterschiedlichen Qualitäten in die gemeinsame kreative Waagschale, rühren kräftig um und servieren dem Publikum einen Mix, der ohne Umschweife in die Beine geht. Ihren musikalischen Suchtfaktor hat die Gruppe dabei schon mehrfach live unter Beweis gestellt und nun auch auf eine EP gepresst. Denn der erste Track Way Too Far, der mit seinen urbanen Beats zuckende Lichtblitze und versunkene Tänzer vor dem inneren Auge entstehen lässt, ist eine Liveaufnahme. Einen krassen Szenewechsel schafft dann der zweite Track Dawning Blues, der auf die Veranda einer amerikanischen Villa in den Südstaaten zu entführen scheint. Blecherne Rhythmen sind mit dumpf hämmernden Beats unterlegt, eine Trompete klagt, ein sexy Schlafwandler spricht in sanfte Klaviertöne Südstaaten-Feeling unter der Discokugel, das soll dem Highgrade Disharmonic Orchestra erst einmal einer nachmachen!
