With the eminent and professional parting of ways on the horizon, SHDWPLAY prepare to release their final ep as a duo. Seeking new sounds and horizons, Skyler Taugher (aka SHADED) will soon be concentrating on solo projects, marking this final EP as a monument for the Los Angeles based act. Having sound-tracked the Spring with their "Nerve Noise" ep, SHDWPLAY's new double-header sees them in imperiously funky form once again. Their minimal and warm, bass-driven grooves dominate both "Close Shut" and the B side "Save As" and as with all SCI+TEC releases the package is completed by an essential collection of exclusive DJ tools.
