ISLR007 Jesper Dahlbäck - Samba OJ Finally, with the arrive of summer and heat, we here at International Sound Laboratories are proud to present our little midsummer present in the form of a four track ep called Samba Oj. Traditional swedish midsummer activities usually incorporate dancing around a "stng" or pole. This time we thought of mixing between the traditional brazillian dance "samba" by celebrating the longest day with our speacially developed samba midsummer dance. We held a little "field test" after our office closed last weekend and it was a real success! Actually it worked out so well that one of our receptionists got a broken ankle! In the package we have included the original Samba Oj experiment for you to evaluate on your own as well as two interpretations and an alternative "dance" called "The Cha cha". The interpretations are presented by Tiger Stripes, known for his works on Drumcode, Get Physical and Ibadan among other labels and Phonogenic, also known for releases on Mood Music, Cocoon Recordings and Dieb Audio.
