The Labrador lover from the mountains of Manchester aka The Countach is back with his second EP on Join Our Club. Ever since that first EP weve been bugging him to deliver us more music and after much pestering we are pleased to say it was definitely worth the wait.
First up Rubber is wonky techno at its finest. Crashing razor sharp snares along with delayed synths and bags of reverb, this is what getting swallowed up and living the rest of your life inside a Blue Whales stomach would sound like.*
Ectoplasm A substance said to be excreted by mediums during trances; a slime-like substance said to be associated with hauntings. Aside from the definition do we really need to say anymore about the next track Ectoplasm? It is pure unadulterated spooky fright night music, one for blackened rooms.
"This new EP from The Countach frankly scares the $h%%t out of me, so scary Ive lost Sam my spirit guide in the darkness" - Derek Acorah Psychic Medium
To wrap up the EP we have two stunning remixing from Vosper and Maxime Iko. Vosper takes on Rubber and flips it into a muscular industrial-strength voyage into the darkened streets of Montreal. Maxime Iko a key warrior in Steve Lawlers Viva Music army, rounds the EP off with an upbeat rendition of Ectoplasm. Upping the tempo and stripping the track back, the vocal and synth lines are given space to unfold.
