Our next offering is from none other than Vanilla Ace. Vanilla Ace is quite the addition to Blockhead and we first heard about him on Mark Knight's Toolroom Podcast. We hunted him down right away and commissioned this stellar ep for all of you to enjoy. The title track "Rockin" is exactly what the title suggests. Rockin' is a funky ass track that brings me back to the San Francisco late 90's era. This track had us dancing in the office and fans of Mark Farina, Derrick Carter and DJ Dan (when he plays funky) are going to love this track. The next track "MDF" is a smooth, nasty little number. Do smooth and nasty go together? Im not sure but this one does. MDF has a low slung bassline with some serious groove to it. This one is for all those Nu-Disco/Dirty, Deep-Tech/Solumon/Maceo Plex fans. This one will have people "Keep On Dancin" for sure. Rounding out this absolutely stellar ep is "Smoothin." What a way to end this thing. We have taken you on quite the journey so far and Smoothin ends it so nicely. This track has some serious synth work in it and will hit the mark for any nu-disco, deep tech or funky house fan. Smoothin checks all the boxes as far as we are concerned. Written & Produced by Vanilla Ace for Blockhead Recordings. Rockin' features Good Time Charlie.
