Following his rich, textural releases on Konsequenz and Asymmetric which focused more on club sounds, the quality-assured producer launches his new self-titled platform with 'Reanimate The Obvious'. Two original and exclusive new tracks are accompanied by remixes from Suedmilch aka Venedikt Reyf and Lonya. 'Reanimate The Obvious' drops the listener into a swirling pool of luscious electronic funk. Drifting and gliding through the cosmic rift, Hakimonu guides us on a soulful journey fusing cultures and musical stylings from across the globe. It was his intention to communicate a positive, true and ethereal message through his wonderfully produced sound. German producer Suedmilch aka Venedikt Reyf provides a wonderful deep dubbed remix of 'Reanimate', which filters and funks through over 8 minutes of warm and refined technoid travels. Fellow Israeli counterpart Lonya's remix puts us in the driving seat with his tough and uplifting interpretation. Crisp beats and high production values underpin this positive and party-assured remix. Finally the softer tones of 'Above Me' enter our sound stream, the second original track from Hakimonu. Phasing textures greet us as this down-tempo house cut gently builds and subsides in a reverent and peaceful reflection. Hakimonu wishes not to bring any ego to the fore with this project, and intends to let the music speak simply as personal ideas and emotions expressed through sound.
