Those without extensive trainspotter knowledge could be forgiven for being unaware of the DisCemi moniker, with just two original releases outthere its an undiscovered gem whichmakes Real Audio for MFR just that little bit special. While ignorance of the compact catalogue of DisCemi catalogue is possible, its unlikely that the names Jori Hulkkonen and Tuomas Phonogenic Salmela will be new to anyone with more than a passing interest inhouse or techno -­ between them, the Finnish pair have notched up so many releases for so many labels-­of-­note that it would be tedious to list them. Brutal, uncompromising drum programming combined with otherworldly synths, interstellar wisdom, Nordic eccentricity, abused filters and an inordinate amount of blood, sweat and tears is how Real Audio sounds. Picture two Norske men, semi-­naked and communing with their inner selves while manipulating electronicsand youre on the way togetting the RealAudio EP.
