After two highly acclaimed EP´s ("Aufundab/HinundHer" on JUST Records and "Little Albio Street" on DIAL last year) and appearence on compialtions of selected by Loco Dice and Tobi Neumann the third release by the berlin-based duo PIGON (a.k.a. Efdemin&Rndm) takes a ride into deep house-flavoured techno. Focussing on slow evolving themes and hypnotic, stripped down rhythms with slight changes, showing a very minimal approach to the music. (it shouldnt be called minimal as this word doesn´t have clear connotation anymore) Every track makes the listener dive into the unconsious and brings back memories of lapsed compositions and show an elaborated syntax of their very unique PIGON-style which osciallates between the past and future. Drawing inspiration from djing long hours in clubs like Golden Pudel Hamburg, Beatstreet and Panorama Bar Berlin, Cityfox and Dachkantine Zürich Efdemin and Rndm stuck together into endless live recording sessions in the studio. Their influences range from warm lush transmat like techno soundscapes via the new deep down Detroit movement around Patrice Scott to Amsterdam based Rush Hour and Delsin universe.
