Slam’s Positive Education originally dropped in 1993 and would go on to put Slam and Soma firmly on the map of house and techno world. After getting under the nails of pretty much every DJ in the planet and being remixed by the likes of Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, Josh Wink and Derrick Carter, this timeless classic once again is ready to destroy soundsystems throughout the world with two more incredible reworks. Paul Ritch exploded onto the scene in 2006 with his own breed of haunted techno and since then the young Parisian has gone to release on Get Physical, Sci+Tec, Quartz and Wagon Repair amongst many others. Paul put in a special request with Slam to do this remix, Pos Ed being one of his all-time favourite anthems, to which the boys duly accepted. His remix is a 9-minute epic peak-time beast full of bowel-rupturing bass and bright percussion, winding its way through the dark alleys of your mind. Fellow Parisian D’Julz is one of the house music’s most exciting names, beginning his illustrious career in ’92, releasing over the years on Ovum, 20:20, Dessous, Brique Rouge, Pokerflat and many, many more. D’Julz turns in two chunky house reworks, the first characterized by its rolling bassline taking over the original’s renowned hook, and the dub by its strong percussion with complex cross-rhythms splashing throughout. Both will cause maximum destruction on the floor. This one is set to be massive at and beyond Miami’s 09, already being hugely requested. Enjoy!!
