Italian house producer Fabio Giannellis first foray with Supernature is an EP aimed squarely at the dancefloor. Phat and Floating offers up some essential percussive tech house along with solid remixes from veteran club master Steve Lawler, Culprit LAs Droog and Supernature regulars Amelie.Kicking off the proceedings, Tin Drum is a tech house banger served with layers of drum percussion, heavy drones and playful organ notes. Steve Lawler slows things down in the remix to create a sultrier, chugging groove. Initially downplaying the drumbeat, Lawler gradually increases the punch by weaving in the more hard-hitting elements of the original.Nuclear is another slice of irreverent tech-whirring wizardry, a bomb to drop at 5am whilst She Turns Around is an altogether moodier dancefloor animal - the surly male spoken vocal rolling its way over a menacing dubby bassline. In the remix, Amelie infuses warm, hypnotic deepness with just enough jacking to get you grooving. Droog lend a good dose of LA sleaze to the remix of Tin Drum flexing a killer druggy groove and continuously warping the melody of the organs around the breathless vocal. This one drags the original from its peak-time slot into an after hours den of iniquity.Fabio Giannelli was born in Puglia, Italy in 1986. Catching the DJing bug at 13 years old, his deep appreciation for the progressive electronic movement of the era led him to his first production equipment purchase at 18 and later a relocation to Milan in 2006. There he met some influential figures on the scene that gave him his first break on label Italo Business. Ever since then his productions have garnered support from some of the biggest names in the industry including Richie Hawtin, Luciano, Davide Squillace, Laurent Garnier and Troy Pierce. Recent years have seen releases on OFF Recordings, Adult Only, Supplement Facts and Fabios own imprint District Raw.x
