Original Sin's outings on Playaz and their associated labels have consistently smashed and mashed dancefloors from London to LA with rib crushing basslines and intense, frenetic energy. Those who've been following Original Sin's career will know that Image Recordings is his own label, and here he enlists a selection of his fellow Playaz producers to work up a selection of hard-hitting dancefloor D&B detonators. 'My Skool' educates you on Original Sin's kung fu sampling abilities as chops of vocal are punctuated with bitcrushed beat buildups and rising sound effects. You know what's coming though, and here it is, a drop that'll pound your face like an infuriated enemy. Sub Zero steps up next, 'Coming Up For Air' harks back to the late-'90s with a bouncing old skool bassline and stepping drums and anyone who remembers Helter Skelter or Dreamscape raves will no doubt have a nostalgic moment when this one hits home. 'Saturday Night Fever' is no limp wristed John Travolta number, Taxman twists up offkey samples and clattering beats into a tumultuous beast that spins and whirls around violently. Dancefloor D&B fans will be jumping to this one every time it drops. Finally Supreme Being takes to the studio helm, offering up the bovine flavour of 'Got Milk'. The focus of this one is an intense accelerating bassline that drives home hard and fast. Undeniably a big track for big room raves.
