Debut release on Basiks for Darouge with his three track "Ohwha EP". Darouge was first introduced to electronica through listening to top trance and progressive jocks and as time went on his musical preferences changed. After attending many different styled parties he began to settle on the house music with minimal tech and techno being his main focus. Now, after much hard work and determination he is ready to unleash his talents onto the scene with this superb minimal-techno-house effort. The title track "Ohwha" is a strong tough edged slice of tech with a wonderfully deep bassline backed up with a very rhythmic percussion section. A real low deep vocal is present throughout and some classic house chords add a cool contrast to the sound, excellent start! "Yehri" intros with a monster kick that would shudder any speaker system going. A brilliant tech bassline thunders along and gets right into your core and this is backed up with a myriad of FX and percussions. The big focus here is the almost horror movie type pad sequences, quite eerie and working so well with the sound. "Looking Through The Barrel" ramps up the energy factor with a very bouncy techno rhythm, sharp hats and again a deep bassline dominates. Nice flow here and a dark vocal sample comes through to shake things up a bit, top stuff here and definitely tracks that will feature heavily on many playlists.
