Italys first official independent dubstep label Elastica Records presents Not Your Teddy Bear by Backwords. Backwords is a duo formed by Alberto TuzZy Tucci and Michele Pardo Pauli. Pardo is founder of seminal italian band Casino Royale, a musician and a passionate analog instruments collector. In 1998 he founded Sheebeen drumnbass label (Photek, Flynn and Flora, Digital, Total Science, Paradox). Pardo appears in several productions, remixes and collaborations (HowieB, Tim Holmes, Mickey Dread, Louise Boone, Jovanotti, Franco Battiato, D Rad). TuzZy is a Dj, producer and sound designer with a substantial live experience. Hes Elastica Records founder and label manger. Elastica featured 10 single releases with worldwide considerable sales and response. Backwords remixes its own track, the unusually named Not Your Teddy Bear; deep brooding atmospherics, clicky percussions with live guitar bass and vocal hooks. A unique and distinct sound of ethereal electronic music. 22 year old Maya Jane Coles aka Nocturnal Sunshine steps in for a more dub wise re-edit, complete with skippy beats and Pardos haunting guitar licks. Mayas tracks regularly hit the Beatport Top 100 charts and have seen support from Skream, Scuba and Joy Orbison. The LN Ripley collective are a 5 piece live band that manage to 100% capture the energy and skills of electronic dance music, be it dubstep or D N B. Their live D N B remix of Rage Against The Machine Killing In The Name sold out on white label, they have opened sets for Fatboy Slim and their releases have remained in the Beatport top 10 for 5 weeks consecutively!
