Not often do you come across a producer who seems to be virtually unable to produce a poor track. The young French dubstep mastermind known simply as MSD happens to fit that mold perfectly. Filling the void of creativity in a music scene flooded with artists who seem to be more inclined to imitate anothers work than to be original, MSD is quickly making a name for himself. The 22 year-old sound designer is bringing some of the freshest ingenuity to the table in the realm of EDM, and is paving the way for a creative influx of bass driven dance music.
MSDs No Forgo single release contains three massive anthems. The title track, , is an emotional masterpiece to say the least. Also on the single, are remixes by badman Habstrakt and Prime Dub affiliate Glitch hop artist Lokid.
The No Forgo original features an amazing vocal performance from VDA, and showcases MSDs ability to inspire the most powerfulof emotions through the art that is his music. The track has all the components of a big room dubstep banger of anthem-like proportions, and is sure to leave crowds chanting along with it.
Next we have the Habstrakt remix. The young French dubstep pioneer (who has releases on Buygore, Dubsaw Recordings, and a forthcoming release on a Buygore/UKF compilation) shifts the energy of the original to another plane of existence by incorporating his hard-hitting style within the track. Combining the wonkiness of his sounds with the melody that backs the track, he creates an interesting musical atmosphere in this dance-floor gem.
Lastly, we have the remix from Lokid. One is instantly entranced into the smooth funky glitch hop styles that this remix is composed of. The talented producer changes the feel of the instant classic to a heavy, key bangin, soundscape filled with shimmery synths and deep basslines.
The original along with its remixes are currently receiving DJ support in the clubs and on the radio from the likes of Flux Pavilion, Borgore, Cookie Monsta, Datsik, Hatcha, True Tiger, Mistajam on Radio 1Xtra and more. If ever there was a group of producers to keep an eye on, this trio of young Frenchmen would be them.
