American based producer Hunter Wegner, aka Controlled Kaos creates music that most listeners peg as coming from the UK, a venerated locale of original, cutting edge bass music. This is no easy feat as many will attest that the UK's taught musical sensibilities are not simply learned but just found "in the blood." Controlled Kaos puts that's notion to rest.Successful releases on respected labels such as Dank N Dirty Dubs and LU10 has seasoned Hunter for his debut with the High Chai fams. The Neon EP marks a deep dive into booming bass and blissful synths, crackling DnB and stellar Dubstep. The title track "Neon" is a progressive Dubstep floor-shaker with plenty of atmosphere to get the crowd pumped. Following up is the Drum and Bass stepper "Radio Check" boasting bass and space of DnB's heyday with well-placed verbed-out percs and a proppa b-line.
