"Our Australian based Label Artist Scruffy Goat , after his killer Biophon remix , returns on his first original Single for Drag and Drop.Naughty Spot and Montana Slim are two tech minimal tracks with a techno mood. James Whitehead has been producing electronic music for 10 years now, and dj’ing for 5 years before that, and is a self-confessed music addict. Born in England, James fell in love with the scene from an early age and was lucky enough to grow up in one of the electronic music hubs of the world. After soaking up the knowledge and the sounds, He moved to Sydney, Australia. From there he then ventured to North Queensland to set up his studio and began delving into production. Began Scruffy Goat solo project in January 2009. Scruffy Goat is a Tech House - Techno artist and has been getting attention from all over the globe since the project began. Has a 3track EP coming out on Seta Label in Nov. Has 2 tracks coming out on UK Drag and Drop records in Oct. Currently collaborating with Continuum & Rafael Gomez on a remix project. Most recent gigs include: Earthdance, Cairns Winter Solstice, Claude VonStroke and supported Worthy at Lost Baggage in Sydney. Has more Sydney gigs incl: Bunker Party and Subsonic festival in Dec and more releases in the works. Was one half of the Urban Monkeys for four years. Under this moniker he had releases on Disoma, Bus, Hardplace, Diverted Traffic and more. Also collaborated with artists D-Sens, Uone, Moonbeam, Dopamine, Bulgarian and Continuum. They also played Rainbow Serpent Festival in 2009 and many clubs/festivals up and down the coast. First production project was Souljam, downbeat and funk. James still produces as Souljam and has had several releases around the globe.
