Just ahead of their debut LP Distance, German production duo D-Nox & Beckers drop the pulsating technoid jam that is My Voice complete with a remix from Tronic label boss, Christian Smith. My Voice sees the production outfit, who have been catagorised as house, techno, progressive and countless other sub-genres over the years, delve into their love of lean and intense tracks for the floor. One of the tougher tracks from the Distance LP, My Voice centres around a heavily effected, looping vocal refrain which is surrounded by rushing builds, bubbling synths and pin-sharp beats. A shrinking violet this is not. Christian Smith, riding a wave of success with releases for 100% Pure and remixes for Carl Craig and Laurent Garnier in the past six months, turns in a funked up and thunderous tech house version. Gently percussive and relentlessly groovy, its another superb remix from Smith.
