** Support from Blawan, Motor, Tommy Four Seven, Forward Strategy Group, Joseph Capriati, Sawf, Perc, Donor, Xhin and more
UK industrial techno upstarts Dead Sound & Videohead return to Perc Trax to follow up the success of last years The Chosen, which gained the support of Luke Slater, Forward Strategy Group, Lucy, Sawf, Jonas Kopp, Xhin, Resident Advisor, Tommy Four Seven, Go Hiyama, Samuli Kemppi and many more.
Since this first EP they have remixed Samuli Kemppi and Go Hiyama for Perc Trax, travelled the world and built a new underground (literally) studio complex. Brought up in the midlands of the UK, they cut their teeth religiously attending seminal UK nights as Atomic Jam, enabling them to experience the worlds best DJs and producers week in, week out.
Their instantly recognisable sound is a high energy fusion of techno and industrial, built upon a solid bass end that puts some of the current practicioners in this niche to shame. Their tracks burst out of the speakers from the very first bar and their quick fire cut-ups and vocal edits maintain a momentum that can be devastating when dropped at the right time.
Wrapping up the package is Jeff Derringer, who as well as racking up two previous EPs for Perc Trax is the main man at Oktave, one of the USAs premier techno promoters. Jeff takes Hear And Now and strips it down, adding his own hypnotic synth lines and a lof-fi edge to offer a deeper flipside to Dead Sound & Videoheads brutal industrialism.
