Mortlock has been creating electronic music since he was fifteen. After many years of experimenting and self-tuition, he is finally releasing his own music to the world. With two remixes for Long Distance Recordings already under his belt, plus his debut EP, Mortlock is setting himself up for a long, prosperous stay in the world of electronic music. His sound can range from dark, driving and twisted to warm, melodic and spacey. But one thing that always exists in both his productions and DJ sets is groove and subtlety. It’s not instantly gratifying, in-your-face music; it’s deep, complex and thoughtful, full of detail and atmosphere. With plans to re-locate to Berlin in 2010, Mortlock intends to build a solid reputation as a musician and has scope to expand his productions to cover the many styles of music that he loves.
