Moon Holiday is Sydneysider Alex Ward. Her self titled debut EP draws its name from her childhood in China - the Moon Festival, lantern parades, dragon dances, neon lights and the oily harbour - while the lyrics are all about here, now, Sydney and the way fear and perfectionism gets in the way of everyones plans. Her lo-fi, atmospheric productions and vocals remind us of Washed Out and Toro Y Moi but her lyrics take us somewhere a little deeper.
