For Silk Sofa's 41th release a new artist is added to the roster: Italian producer Richard J Aarden. For this EP, "Meet Me In The Blue", Richard has put together 4 chillout/electronica tracks, and the first one (the title track) starts out with some extremely soothing rhodes melodies. Later, a unique guitar riff enters the mix, as well as an electronic guitar lead on top. A swell beat is added later, maximizing the energy in the song. A "Deep Mix" is also provided of "Meet Me In The Blue", and its main groove is a 4/4 rhythm instead of the breakbeat in the original, and an enjoyable bassline is also added. The guitar harmonies continue later with further acoustic elements provided in the track. "Rooftops" starts out with an array of unique and smooth melodies, and many percussion variations are also provided. The energy levels reaches its maximum when further guitar melodies are added later on in the mix. Lastly, "Innocence" establishes a lovely atmosphere with a great breakbeat in the first few minutes, and later some rather beautiful vocal elements emerge. All in all a very intriguing end to this first release on Silk Sofa from Richard J Aarden.
