Make Me Feel Alive, the latest offering from Looking Glass Recordings is a cool slab of house set to ignite dancefloors across the UK.
The brainchild of Manchester circuit DJs, Nick Hussey, Jay Cosgrove & Andy Kay, it is a euphoric blend of uplifting piano that evokes an old-skool K-Klass Ital House vibe, whilst still sounding fresh and modern. Vocals come courtesy of Cumbrian singer and Ibiza veteran, Sarah Story, who delivers a soulful, impassioned take on the track, reminiscent of the hugely successful Amanda Wilson.
The track is backed by a series of remixes with Leeds based, Swing Kings, opting for maximum impact with the vocals kicking in straight away over a driving piano riff and insistent synth style strings. Right Hand Barber & Van Goluden's take kicks off with a dub style remix, with minimalist elements washed with fuzzy synths.
Canadian Jeff Daniels offers a more intriguing mix with layered vocal harmonics giving new depth to the track. Current and on point, listen closely and you can hear elements of Axwell and elsewhere traces of Guetta, thus ticking all the boxes of a sure-fire dancefloor monster.
Sticking on the Axwell vibe, Benjamin Leung & Def Audio deliver a seductive vocal intro, which eventually soars over a minimal beat as the piano slowly filters in. Restrained production gives the track room to breathe, peaking and ebbing in all the right places and showcasing Story's vocal talents, which perfectly complement the strident piano riffs.
