Following on from his "Moss Lane East EP" (DUSTV014), Manchester techno maverick DNCN delivers his second EP, "Kitchen Sink" for Dust Science and it's an absolute belter! DNCN is a Manchester techno legend who has bootstrapped himself into prominence through a dazzling selection of live performances, some acclaimed releases (Phush Consumables / Hippocamp / Clever Music / Melodic), and some particularly interesting remix collaborations, most notably for Elbow and their Fallen Angel single. Starting his "Kitchen Sink EP", "909it" carries all the DNCN trademarks: deep hypnotic beats and twisting synth lines. A live favourite for a while now, this is one for the head and the floor. Next, "Swiss Army Knife" samples the rather excellent Videodrome and has a bassline to die for. This is how minimal should be done. Finishing up is "Kitchener", with its smooth, deep funked out, clicky groove. Perfect.
