Cologne based Klangkultur Schallplatten team up with the excellent Chris James for the third vinyl release on this hotly tipped label... Dirk Hermann & Andreas Mueller's Klangkultur Schallplatten label has been gaining a raft of support in 2012 with two extremely well received singles from Darius Syrossian & DJ W!ld getting love from DJs as diverse as Adam Beyer, DJ Sneak, Huxley & Maya Jane Coles. Now the Cologne based imprint is teaming up with another rock solid house hero, DJProducer Chris James. Chris James is based in Birmingham, England and has over the last few years built a sterling reputation as both a DJ, producer and label owner. Playing at key venues such as Ministry of Sound, Turnmills, Empire and Monastery he has also travelled the globe guesting in Ibiza and Australia. His records have been released by labels such as Potty Mouth, Anabatic and Artform as well as on his own much-touted Dubnoir music imprint. This latest release sees Chris deliver the superb Kind of Heavy', a delightful slice of deep house that fuses a bumping old school bassline, rich melodic parts and heavily effected soulful female vocals to create a timeless record. The original version is followed by a remix from OFF Recordings head honcho Andre Crom who delivers a mix that retains all the character of the original whilst bringing his own style to bear. To close the package the excellent Dale Howard takes the reigns and turns in a mix of Kind of Heavy' that takes things down a 90's garagehouse influenced route with it's shuffling drum programming, percussive organ riff and high strings, quality stuff. Chris James' Kind of Heavy' is another stellar single for this highly promising label. Supported by: Oxia, Maceo Plex, Marco Resmann, Huxley, Dusky, Luna City Express, Subb-An, Manik, Anthony Collins, Jimpster, Cozzy D, Wally Lopez, Kerry Chandler, Moodtrap, Danny Howells, Nikola Gala and many more.
