Matt Saunders has been hooked on creating music ever since he learned how to create a sine wave on a BBC Micro. He was trained from a young age in piano, drums, and the guitar, meaning that a balance between intricate groove and musicality is always present in any track he touches. He likes to keep his sounds diverse and fresh, however they will always have his stamp of deep, sometimes understated but always harmonous melody.
From within the dance domain Matt has progressed through trance, admiring producers such as Above and Beyond and Armin van Buuren, into more crisp production of techno and electro grooves from the likes of Sebastian Leger, Mono, Booka Shade, Marc Romboy and Trentemoller. Progressive house music, however, is where he feels the most natural at the moment. From big bright synths to disturbing basslines, deep fifth progressions and cranking drops, there's not much it doesn't cater for.
With a new London base, a number of hugely talented vocalists to work with and a style that he is striving to push to its limits - 2011 is exciting and fast becoming the launchpad year for Matt Saunders. Starting of this beautiful track with vocals of Fifi Green.
