Hungary's finest lands on Great Stuff with a weighty 3-tracker, following on from an acclaimed and varied output for big labels as diverse as Sebastien Leger's Mistakes Music, 2000 And One's 100% Pure and Nic Fanciulli's Saved Records. Lead track Here Comes That Sound is trademark Lumen: a fiercely jacking bass groove bouncing around beneath layers of skippy old school house percussion and just a light smattering of incessant techy stabs, vocal snippets, FX and rhythm. Falling perfectly into that irresistible grey area between house and techno, it's a track to make the floor come over all flushed and get those fists pumping. Get Wet treads a funkier route, sassy disco percussion tumbling over filtered rhythmic samples and big swathes of white noise married to teasing, almost tribal builds. Imagine Carl Cox ripping up the Terrace at Space in full swing and you're getting near. Fierce. Not Jazzy completes this tasty trio with some serious percussive swing and bounce, with jazz drum fills scattered amidst splashy cymbal rides and squeals of trumpets somewhere in the distance. It's a constantly engaging track, full to the brim with rhythm and sassiness, and packs a hell of a punch when played at excessive volumes.
